Tran Thanh Luc won the World Cup carom

Tran Thanh Luc faced Tayfun Tasdemir (Turkey) in the final of the World Cup carom in Bogota. Entering the match, the Vietnamese player rose to 4th place in the world thanks to a surprising semi-final win over Dick Jaspers. Meanwhile, Tasdemir rose from 12th place to 8th place.

However, Tran Thanh Luc still managed to score the decisive point to win 50-47. This is the first time Tran Thanh Luc has won the title at the World Cup carom (3-cushion World Cup). He is the third athlete from Vietnam - after Tran Quyet Chien, Tran Duc Minh - to achieve this achievement.

At the World Cup carom Bogota leg, Vietnam has 5 players competing. Among them, the biggest hope is Tran Quyet Chien (world No. 3).
