Smart education center in Go Vap: Can see pictures of daily boarding meals

"The Go Vap District Smart Education Management Center has just completed phase 1. We are working hard to implement the next steps to soon operate and exploit, supporting schools to improve the quality of education" - Mr. Trinh Vinh Thanh, head of the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City, said.

Supervise daily boarding meals

According to Mr. Thanh, the necessary data has been entered in phase 1. This includes information about the public and non-public school network, the number of classes, classrooms, etc.

Data on the number of students in each grade, along with information on health, the rate of students who know how to swim, as well as the learning and training results of students in each school and each level of education, etc. have also been updated.

Phase 2 is a camera system connected to all schools in the area. From this system, officers and specialists of the Department of Education and Training can monitor all school activities.

"For example, with boarding school meals, not only can the education department know the daily menu, but they can also see live images of each student's actual meal portion," said Mr. Thanh.

Go Vap District Smart Education Operation Center is expected to complete phase 2 on February 3, 2025. The next phase will be the operation and exploitation phase.

According to Mr. Thanh, the Smart Education Management Center is understood as a software that helps management agencies manage better and more effectively in the education sector.

"The Go Vap District Department of Education and Training has only more than 10 people while the area is very large, going directly to schools to inspect is somewhat limited. Therefore, we expect the Smart Education Operation Center to help the Department of Education and Training's staff reduce their workload.

"It is also about making the most effective use of existing data in managing, developing and improving the quality of education in the district," Mr. Thanh shared.

Will analyze and exploit data effectively

Mr. Trinh Vinh Thanh added: "Modern machinery and equipment as well as AI are just supporting tools. The main thing is the idea of ​​the staff and experts of the Department of Education and Training, that is, people must think of what they need and then control the machines to carry out their intentions; exploiting the existing data thoroughly and effectively. This is the key point.

Let me give you an example of data on students with refractive errors. So what do we do with it? If we have an idea, the administrator will ask the Smart Education Operation Center to provide data on schools with the highest number of students with refractive errors. Then, they will check the lighting and furniture in the classrooms and request changes, if necessary.

Or from data from mid-term and final exams of schools as well as statistics of students' test results, administrators will consider whether the results are appropriate. On that basis, AI can be asked to analyze which skills students are weak in, what needs to be supplemented...

Therefore, when the Smart Education Management Center is put into operation, each department of the Go Vap District Department of Education and Training will have plans and propose solutions to develop their fields and levels of education.
