Among the 89 professor candidates this year, Mr. Vo Hoang Hung is the youngest. Born in 1987, from Hau Loc, Tam Binh, Vinh Long (old), Mr. Hung is currently the Head of the Department of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology, Saigon University.
According to the professor candidate profile, Associate Professor Vo Hoang Hung has guided two doctoral students to successfully defend their theses, completed two ministerial-level scientific research topics, and published 23 scientific articles, of which 21 were in prestigious international journals. In particular, in 2023, he won the Ministry of Education and Training's Outstanding Mathematics Work Award with the work: "Harnack inequality and principal eigentheory for general infinity Laplacian operators with gradient in RN and applications".

Associate Professor Vo Hoang Hung is a famous person in the field of Mathematics. Since grade 3, he has solved grade 5 problems. When studying at Ly Tu Trong High School for the Gifted ( Can Tho ), he always had outstanding achievements in Mathematics.
The student Vo Hoang Hung won the Gold Medal in the 30/4 Olympic exam in grade 10. In grade 11, Vo Hoang Hung participated in the excellent student exam for grade 12 students in the Mekong Delta and won first place. In grade 12, he won third prize in the National Excellent Student Exam in Mathematics, then was directly admitted to the Mathematics - Information Technology major at the University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City. When taking the university entrance exam, he was admitted to the Construction Engineering major at the University of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City. Finally, he chose to study at the University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City and graduated with honors in the talented bachelor program.
After graduating from university, Mr. Vo Hoang Hung studied the Vietnam - France Talent Master's program for just over a year. After that, he was retained at the school as a lecturer but at the same time received 3 doctoral scholarships. He chose the Marie Curie program of Paris VI University (France). Mr. Hung was awarded a doctorate in Mathematics, specializing in differential and integral equations in 2014. Returning to Vietnam, he worked at the University of Natural Sciences in Ho Chi Minh City, then at the University of Saigon.

The youngest professor candidate in 2025 actively organizes and participates in community activities on Mathematics hosted by the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics and the Institute of Mathematics such as: Dong School and Partial Differential Equations 2020; Dong School on Mathematical Models and Dynamical Systems 2022; International Summer School on Biology and Mathematics 2023 and 2025. He also participated in training the Math Olympiad team for students in the content of Analytical Mathematics of Saigon University since 2019 and always won prizes.
