Gold and money piled up in TikToker Mr Pips' scam ring

The Hanoi Police Investigation Agency has prosecuted 31 defendants in a case of fraud and appropriation of property on the internet, worth thousands of billions of VND, involving defendant Pho Duc Nam (born in 1994, residing in Ba Ria - Vung Tau , nicknamed Mr. Pips).

Authorities seized and froze many assets of the subjects, estimated at a total value of more than 5,200 billion VND.

Of which, 316 billion is money in the account, bonds worth 9 billion VND, savings books worth more than 200 billion VND and 69 billion VND in cash.

In addition, the police counted and seized 890 SJC gold bars and 246 kg of solid gold.

Authorities also seized 31 supercars, 7 luxury motorbikes, 59 famous brand watches worth a total of about 300 billion VND, and 84 pieces of various gold and diamond-encrusted jewelry.

In addition, authorities blocked transactions of 125 real estate properties.

Of the 31 subjects prosecuted, 26 cases were related to the crime of Fraudulent appropriation of property, 3 cases were related to the crime of Money Laundering, 1 case was related to the crime of Failure to report a crime and 1 person was related to the crime of Receiving property obtained by another person.
