Ia Lau commune needs to innovate leadership methods in a scientific direction, strengthen discipline and order.

(GLO)- On August 15, comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the 1st Congress of Ia Lau Commune Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Also attending the Congress were comrade Ngo Khac Ngoc - Provincial Party Committee member, Principal of the Provincial Political School; and 139 delegates representing 446 party members of 30 affiliated party organizations.

Ia Lau Commune Party Committee was established on the basis of merging the Party Committees of the two communes of Ia Lau (old) and Ia Pior. During the past term, the two localities achieved many important results with a fairly growing economy , the economic structure shifting in the right direction; annual budget revenue increased by 8%; average income per capita reached 51 million VND/year; the poverty rate decreased to 5.84%.

Along with that, socio-economic infrastructure is invested, social security is ensured; national defense and security are maintained; Party building, political system and national solidarity are consolidated.

The Congress set out the following targets for the 2025-2030 term: annual product value growth rate of 7.3%; total budget revenue of 3,900 billion VND; health insurance participation rate of 94%; multidimensional poverty rate reduced to 1.34%; annually, 90% of grassroots party organizations complete their tasks well or better; annual admission of new party members reaching 3% or more compared to the total number of party members...

Speaking at the Congress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Anh suggested that immediately after the Congress, the Commune Party Committee must concretize the resolution into action programs and specific plans, not only for the entire 5-year term but also every year with the motto "6 clear" and with the spirit of "high determination, great effort, drastic action" to achieve the set goals.

Along with that, focus on innovating leadership methods in a scientific direction, strengthening discipline and order; improving the quality of Party cell activities, doing a good job of developing new Party members, especially developing Party members who are ethnic minorities and Party members in enterprises.

At the same time, pay more attention to social security work, care for the development of health care, education, and vocational training for the people; preserve and promote national cultural identity; and maintain national defense and security.

The Congress announced the decisions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee to appoint the Commune Party Executive Committee consisting of 23 comrades, the Commune Party Standing Committee consisting of 9 comrades. Comrade Kpuih Ho Cong Thong was appointed to hold the position of Commune Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.
