Final academic ranking for students

According to the University Training Regulations, students are classified according to their final semester academic performance on a 4-point scale with 6 different levels. Specifically, students with an average GPA of 3.6 to 4.0 are classified as excellent; from 3.2 to near 3.6 are classified as good; from 2.5 to near 3.2 are classified as good; from 2.0 to near 2.5 are classified as average; from 1.0 to near 2.0 are classified as poor; and below 1.0 are classified as poor academic performance.

In case the school classifies academic performance on a 10-point scale, the specified grading scores are as follows: from 9.0 to 10.0 is classified as excellent; from 8.0 to near 9.0 is good academic performance; from 7.0 to near 8.0 is classified as fair; from 5.0 to near 7.0 is classified as average; from 4.0 to near 5.0 is classified as poor academic performance; below 4.0 is classified as poor academic performance.

Students are also ranked in the academic year based on the number of credits accumulated from the beginning of the course (abbreviated as N) and the average number of credits per academic year according to the standard study plan (abbreviated as M). Specifically, the first year level must meet N

The above are specific regulations on how to classify students' final academic performance on a 4-point and 10-point scale. In addition, students are also classified based on the number of credits accumulated from the beginning of the course and the average number of credits per academic year according to the standard study plan.

How many credits does a student need to study in a semester?

Before entering a new semester, universities guide students to register for courses on the school's registration system. Credit-based students must register for the courses they plan to take in the semester, including new courses, some failed courses (to retake) and some passed courses (to improve grades, if any) based on the list of open courses and registration conditions of each course.

The training institution's regulations stipulate that the minimum number of credits registered must not be less than 2/3 of the average number of credits per semester according to the standard study plan. At the same time, the maximum number must not exceed 3/2 of the average number of credits per semester according to the standard study plan.

Thus, comparing the above regulations, it can be seen that university students are allowed to register for credits in each semester not exceeding 3/2 of the average volume of a semester according to the standard study plan. That is, students are allowed to register for about 10 - 30 credits/semester.

At the same time, one credit will be equivalent to 15 theoretical lessons, 30 practice and experiment or discussion hours, 60 internship hours at facilities or 45 hours of students writing essays, assignments, projects or graduation thesis.
