The above information was presented at the workshop "Career guidance - study - work in the Federal Republic of Germany" organized by the Southern Center for Education and Training Development, the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with An Duong Group to provide participants with information about studying abroad and vocational training in Germany.
The event was attended by more than 500 delegates including leaders of ministries, departments, schools, businesses, parents and students from many southern provinces and cities, opening up a lot of important information about opportunities to study abroad and learn a trade in Germany.
Opportunities for Vietnamese workers in Germany
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Ho Nhu Duyen - Deputy Director of the Southern Center for Education and Training Development - said that the workshop is a practical activity in a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany, helping Vietnamese students have more opportunities to study and work in Germany, so that they can return to contribute to the development of their homeland.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Ky - representative of the German Nursing Home Association in Vietnam - it is predicted that by 2030, Germany will lack about 300,000 nurses. This is a profession with attractive salaries and benefits, and the German Government has opened up opportunities for international human resources, including Vietnam.
There are now many vocational schools in Germany that have partnered with training institutions in Vietnam, focusing on key industries such as electric vehicle engineering, medicine and nursing. Many German companies also cooperate to receive interns, creating conditions for students to both study and work, saving costs while still ensuring training quality.
According to Mr. Ky, the Vietnamese community in Germany is currently very large, including more than 5,000 international students studying there. Vietnamese people here are highly appreciated for their diligence, hard work and sense of responsibility.
"This is an important advantage that helps young Vietnamese workers build a good image and be compared positively with many other international labor communities," he emphasized.
However, the biggest barrier is still language, so proactively learning and improving your German language skills is the key to faster integration and making the most of opportunities in Germany.

One of the differences of vocational training in Germany is that tuition is completely free. During the internship, students can receive a salary of 1,000 to 1,500 euros per month, depending on the profession.
This income is enough to cover basic living expenses in Germany, which are transparent and clearly regulated by law. After graduation, workers have the opportunity to settle permanently and enjoy full social security as a German citizen.
In recent years, the German Government has simplified the visa process, making it easier for international students to participate in study and work programs.
Experts at the conference said that Germany is a potential market for Vietnamese students. Vocational study abroad programs not only help students access modern education, but also open up opportunities for career development and long-term stability.
With increasing demand for human resources, tuition support policies, internship salaries and settlement opportunities, Germany is becoming an attractive destination for Vietnamese students.
According to the seminar, to participate in the vocational study abroad program, candidates need to have graduated from high school or higher and have a German language certificate from level B1. Particularly for the nursing industry, many businesses and hospitals have higher requirements, at level B2. Some units create conditions for candidates to complete B2 in the first three to six months after enrollment.
Normally, the German language learning process to reach the standard lasts from six to eight months, but it can be shortened if the student is proactive and has good self-study ability. In addition, the study abroad application also needs to have all the necessary documents such as graduation certificate, foreign language certificate and personal procedures.
