(GLO)- On September 9, in Gia Lai and Quang Ngai provinces, the 15th Corps Command held a ceremony to announce the Ministry of National Defense's decision to establish and award the victory flag to Economic - Defense Groups 72, 74, 716 and 732.

Economic - Defense Groups 72, 74, 732 were established on the basis of LLCs 72, 74, 732 and Economic - Defense Group 716 was established on the basis of Branch 716.

Speaking at the assignment of tasks to the economic-defense delegations, the leader of the 15th Corps affirmed: The decision of the Ministry of National Defense to establish the economic-defense delegations demonstrates the trust of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee and the Head of the Ministry of National Defense in the 15th Corps. This is both an honor and a great responsibility, and at the same time a condition for building the 15th Corps "refined, compact, effective and efficient", well meeting the requirements of production tasks, economic, cultural and social development along the Vietnam - Cambodia border and successfully carrying out military and defense tasks in the new situation.

The leaders of the 15th Corps requested the Party Committee and commanders of the economic-defense groups to step up political and ideological education to help officers, soldiers and workers deeply understand the position, functions and tasks of the economic-defense group; clearly see their honor, pride and responsibility in building the unit. Quickly arrange and perfect the organization and staff; review, promulgate, supplement and perfect the regulations and rules on each aspect of work; supplement and perfect the documents on combat, natural disaster prevention, search and rescue and strictly maintain the order, law enforcement and discipline.
