Da Nang: The number of businesses temporarily suspending operations and dissolving continues to increase.

DNVN - According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in the first 7 months of 2025, the city recorded an increase in the number of newly established enterprises. However, the number of enterprises returning to operation tended to decrease slightly; the number of enterprises temporarily suspending operations and dissolving continued to increase.

This development shows that the business market still has many potential difficulties, especially for small-scale enterprises. In this situation, the city continues to deploy appropriate support solutions to stabilize production and business activities and promote sustainable development of the business sector.

Many large business premises right in the center of Da Nang city have been vacant for a long time without tenants.

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in the first 7 months of 2025 (up to July 29), the city has newly granted business registration certificates to 3,719 enterprises, branches and representative offices (DN) with a total registered charter capital of more than 15,300 billion VND; an increase of 15.5% in the number of enterprises and an increase of more than 32% in capital compared to the same period in 2024.

However, since the beginning of the year, more than 5,140 enterprises have temporarily suspended operations, an increase of 14.5%; and 687 enterprises have completed dissolution procedures, an increase of nearly 13% over the same period in 2024. Meanwhile, in the first 7 months of 2025, only 1,560 enterprises returned to operation, a decrease of nearly 7% over the same period last year.

According to the Da Nang Statistical Office, in recent times, the number of newly established enterprises in the city has increased, reflecting efforts to improve the investment and business environment in the area. However, the number of enterprises returning to operation has tended to decrease slightly, while the number of enterprises temporarily ceasing operations and dissolving continues to increase.

This development shows that the business market still has many potential difficulties, especially for small-scale enterprises. In this situation, Da Nang City is continuing to implement appropriate support solutions to stabilize production and business activities and promote sustainable development of the business sector.

From July 1, according to new regulations in Decree 168/2025/ND-CP, Da Nang City will reorganize business registration activities in a reasonable decentralization direction, ensuring transparency and consistency in state management.

The business registration office under the City Department of Finance is responsible for receiving and processing registration applications for businesses located in the City. For business households, the registration authority is assigned to the commune level, specifically the economic department (for communes and special zones) or the economic, infrastructure and urban department (for wards).

The business registration dossier includes two types of documents: Business registration application; Copy of the authorization document of a household member for a member to be the business owner in the case of household members registering for a business. The authorization document must be notarized or certified.
