(HNMO) - From tonight (May 23), Hanoi and the provinces and cities in the Eastern part of the Northern region will have showers and thunderstorms, cool weather. In the following days, Hanoi will have less rain, and temperatures will tend to increase, especially at noon and in the afternoon.

The Northern Delta Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that due to the influence of the compressed low pressure trough combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from tonight (May 23) to tomorrow morning, many places in Hanoi will have thunderstorms, starting in the districts of Ba Vi, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, Ung Hoa... with rainfall of 10-30mm/24 hours; strong Northeast wind level 2-3; cool weather, common temperature 25-27 degrees Celsius. By noon and tomorrow afternoon (May 24), Hanoi will have less rain, temperatures will increase, the highest level will be 30-32 degrees Celsius, especially in the city center area 31-33 degrees Celsius.

From May 25 to 30, the low pressure area in the West tends to develop and expand to the Southeast. Therefore, Hanoi city will have showers and thunderstorms in some places in the late afternoon and at night; sunny in the afternoon and evening; Southeast wind level 2; temperature tends to increase and reach the hot threshold on May 29, 30 and 31.

In the remaining areas in the East of the Northern region and the provinces of Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, on the night of May 23 and the day of May 24, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall of 20-40mm/24 hours, and some places experiencing more than 60mm/24 hours.
