Especially for large enterprises and traditional enterprises, Customs organizes meetings and exchanges to grasp the unit's operational situation and has solutions to accompany the enterprise. The unit thoroughly reviews and grasps the tax debt situation, resolutely handles, enforces and collects tax debts in accordance with the law, and strives to reduce tax arrears according to assigned targets. Strengthens inspection and examination to combat revenue loss, trade fraud, tax evasion and transfer pricing... contributing to improving the quality and efficiency of import-export activities as well as increasing import-export turnover in the area of operation.

By operating application software serving customs operations in all areas such as customs clearance, tax payment, goods management, implementation of the national single window mechanism, online public services, management of outgoing and incoming documents of units... has helped the process of handling customs procedures to be public and transparent, shortening the time for customs clearance of import and export goods, saving travel costs for organizations, individuals and businesses, as well as limiting negative occurrences in the process of handling public services.

The unit also focuses on "post-inspection" work, by focusing on applying information technology to post-clearance inspection activities in the direction of automatically identifying the subjects to be inspected based on the application of automatic analysis models, risk assessment, statistical data analysis, business problems, and unusual signs on the information technology system. In particular, focusing on innovating the method of reviewing green channel records, checking the value of imported and exported goods, HS codes, C/O; focusing on checking declarations of types A12, B11. The reform and innovation of post-clearance inspection activities have encouraged businesses to voluntarily comply with the law.

In the first 6 months of 2025 alone, Phu Tho Customs implemented a total of nearly 99,000 sets of electronic declarations; the total import-export turnover was more than 16.7 billion USD. Typically, the export of garment products, canvas, electronic components, stone products... reached nearly 8.5 billion USD; import activities also recorded more than 8.2 billion USD. Import-export tax collection reached 404 billion VND, reaching 73.4% of the assigned target, reaching 63% of the target.
