According to experts and business owners, Quang Ninh is entering the peak summer tourist season, the number of visitors is large but unstable. Visitors mainly concentrate on weekends, the occupancy rate of accommodation establishments always reaches 70-90%. While on weekdays from Monday to Wednesday, visitors are quite quiet, the occupancy rate is only about 40-50%. Faced with this reality, the tourism industry has proactively implemented stimulus solutions, implementing preferential packages for accommodation, food and beverage, and sightseeing services during the week to attract tourists to Quang Ninh.

Ms. Tran Thi Lieu, Deputy General Director of Royal Ha Long Hotel, shared: When participating in the stimulus program, the units responded in unison, proactively linking closely together to bring tourists valuable experiences and the most reasonable prices. The ship owners also pay special attention to improving service quality, bringing satisfaction to tourists. Mr. Tran Van Hong, Head of Ha Long Tourist Ship Association, shared: With the quality of steel-hulled ships being built in series and put into use, it has contributed to improving quality and bringing the best experience to tourists. The ships are increasingly operating professionally, with wet towels served when guests board the ship, fireworks, and art programs for tourists to have memorable memories with family and loved ones.

In the first 6 months of 2025, the tourism industry will welcome about 12.1 million visitors, reaching 116% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 112% of the target compared to the growth scenario. Domestic visitors in the first 6 months are estimated at 9.8 million; international visitors in the first 6 months are estimated at 2.3 million. Overnight visitors are estimated at over 3.7 million, reaching 118% compared to the same period in 2024. Total revenue will reach over VND 29,140 billion, reaching 131% compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 107% compared to the growth scenario.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to direct localities and units to strengthen communication, tourism promotion, as well as organize events to stimulate the market, seminars to introduce destinations; participate in tourism fairs to connect businesses, flexibly combining direct and online forms.

Activities to respond to and stimulate tourism demand during the peak summer season of 2025 and prepare the best service conditions for people and tourists to Quang Ninh; ensure the overfulfillment of economic growth targets in 2025, in which the tourism industry aims to welcome 20 million tourists, with expected revenue of 55,000 billion VND.
