At Mai Thuc Loan High School (Mai Phu commune), the 2-session/day teaching model has been implemented from the first week of the 2025-2026 school year.
Mr. Le Viet Luong - Vice Principal of Mai Thuc Loan High School informed: "Immediately after receiving the guidance document from the Ministry and the Department of Education and Training, we reviewed all facilities, thoroughly informed teachers and students, and built detailed plans for each grade. The school also organized a scientific and reasonable timetable to avoid overloading teachers and students, and arranged appropriate afternoon content."
In that spirit, each week, students of Mai Thuc Loan High School will study 11 sessions, including 5 morning sessions and 2 afternoon sessions for teaching according to the main curriculum (session 1); 3 afternoon sessions and Saturday morning, the school will organize review activities, foster excellent students, supplement knowledge for students who have not achieved, participate in life skills training activities, sports , academic clubs, career orientation... Up to now, teaching 2 sessions/day at the school has become routine and operated stably.
Ms. Tran Thi Canh Thuan - teacher at Mai Thuc Loan High School shared: "Implementing 2-session teaching/day is a correct policy, consistent with the goal of educational innovation in the current period. For teachers, this model creates conditions to diversify teaching methods, organize remedial classes, support weak students, develop good students, and at the same time have more time to access modern educational methods, consistent with the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation".

The policy of teaching 2 sessions/day to improve the quality of regular school hours and develop skills for students has also been flexibly implemented by Thanh Sen High School (Tran Phu Ward) in accordance with the actual situation. With a total of 70 staff and teachers teaching 28 classes, more than 1,000 students, the school has built a scientific and suitable timetable. Teaching 2 sessions/day has also helped students study more easily while still ensuring effectiveness.
Le Khanh Huyen, a 12th grade student at Thanh Sen High School, said: “With the regulation of no more than 7 periods per day, studying 2 sessions per day helps us reduce pressure and no longer feel as stressed as before. It's only been the first week of implementation, but I can clearly feel the positive changes in the quality and effectiveness of the lessons. In particular, the second session with review and knowledge consolidation content has helped senior students like me feel more secure in preparing for the upcoming important exam.”

At Cuong Gian Secondary School (Co Dam Commune), right after the opening day, the organization of teaching 2 sessions/day was also implemented. The reasonable allocation of the program, with 11 sessions/week, this policy has helped students reduce the pressure in learning knowledge, creating conditions for them to participate in supplementary activities, develop capacity, life skills, arts, and physical fitness.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - parent of Cuong Gian Secondary School expressed: "We strongly support the policy of teaching 2 sessions/day. Because, when children study at school all day, parents are very secure knowing that their children are studying and living in a safe environment, under the supervision of teachers. In addition, studying 2 sessions/day at school has also contributed to limiting the situation of extra teaching and learning, reducing pressure on children."
The implementation of teaching 2 sessions/day from the beginning of the school year in Ha Tinh not only received the consensus of schools, students and parents but also demonstrated a strong spirit of innovation in education, aiming at the goal of comprehensively developing students' capacity and qualities.

Immediately after the Ministry of Education and Training issued the guidelines, the Department of Education and Training promptly directed and guided schools and localities to review the conditions and develop implementation plans suitable to the reality. At the same time, advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a document directing departments, branches and sectors to coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to mobilize resources from the whole society to participate in organizing 2-session teaching/day.
In the coming time, the Department of Education and Training will continue to coordinate with communes, wards, units and localities to continue to direct, inspect, advise, guide and evaluate the implementation process at educational institutions to promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, replicate good practices, and create effective innovations. At the same time, promote the work of consulting on investment in facilities and equipment, mobilize resources, and socialize education to contribute to schools implementing activities effectively, meeting the requirements in the new situation and creating consensus among parents and people.
The policy of teaching 2 sessions/day is not only a change in the study time frame, but also an important step in the approach to modern education - focusing on learners, focusing on comprehensive development of knowledge, skills and personality. With serious preparation, flexibility and consensus from many sides, teaching 2 sessions/day promises to contribute to improving the quality of education in Ha Tinh, meeting the expectations of fundamental and comprehensive innovation of the industry.
