Inauguration of Bach Dang 2 Bridge connecting developing regions

On September 23, the People's Committee of Binh Duong province coordinated with the People's Committee of Dong Nai province to inaugurate Bach Dang 2 bridge across Dong Nai river, connecting Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen city, Binh Duong province and Binh Loi commune, Vinh Cuu district, Dong Nai province.

Attending the inauguration ceremony were Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Van Loi, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Duong province; Nguyen Hong Linh, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee; leaders, former leaders of Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces through the periods, leaders of localities of the 3 provinces and a large number of people from Bach Dang commune, Tan Uyen city and Binh Loi commune, Vinh Cuu district.

The Bach Dang 2 Bridge Project was assigned by the People's Committee of Binh Duong Province to the Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board as the investor based on the agreement of the two provinces. The project has a total investment of 491 billion VND from the State Budget. The project scale has a total length of nearly 946 m; of which, the bridge section is more than 401 m long, the approach road is 544.5 m long. The road section at the bridge head has a design speed of 80 km/h.

The bridge has a superstructure of continuous prestressed reinforced concrete box girder constructed by balanced cantilever method, the bridge cross-section is 17.5m, arranged for 4 lanes. The road section at the bridge head is designed according to the standard of level 3 plain road with a design speed of 80km/h; the road surface structure is hot asphalt concrete with a roadbed width of 17.5m, arranged for 4 lanes, separated by a painted circle.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc said that Bach Dang 2 Bridge across Dong Nai River connecting Tan Uyen City, Binh Duong Province and Vinh Cuu District, Dong Nai Province will contribute to completing the inter-provincial traffic system in the Southern Key Economic Zone; at the same time, opening more space for urban, commercial and service development for the two provinces; opening new connection directions for Binh Duong Province to connect to key national traffic routes, such as: National Highway 1, National Highway 51, expressways...

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee Mai Hung Dung emphasized that the completion and operation of Bach Dang 2 Bridge will significantly shorten travel time, reduce transportation costs, meet the freight transport needs of people and businesses, create smooth inter-regional traffic connections between Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces and other provinces and cities in the region; expand connections to key national traffic infrastructure hubs; on that basis, create more important premises and motivation for the two provinces to continue to develop further in the coming time.

This is a group B project, a level II traffic project, with a scale of 6 lanes, a roadbed width of 40.5m, a design speed of 80km/h, and a total investment of more than VND 5,256 billion; of which compensation and site clearance costs are VND 1,531 billion.

The completed route will open up new development space, connecting traffic between industrial - urban - service zones in the northern districts with southern cities in Binh Duong province and the region. Thereby contributing to attracting investment so that Binh Duong province can continue to develop faster, more comprehensively and sustainably in the coming time...
