Quang Ngai Provincial leaders work with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism

VHO - On the afternoon of July 8, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Y Ngoc chaired a working session with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on the results of implementing tasks in the first 6 months of the year, directions and key tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reported on the unit's operations after the merger. Accordingly, the new organizational structure currently has 4 specialized departments, 5 public service units and 256 civil servants, public employees and workers.

In the first 6 months of the year, the industry has completed 16/47 key assigned tasks. The remaining tasks are being accelerated by the industry.

In the coming time, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on a number of key tasks such as implementing the Bài Chòi project, preparing a dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition of Sa Huynh Cultural Relics as a World Heritage Site; organizing the awarding of the titles of People's Artisan and Meritorious Artisan; preserving the intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities and organizing the celebration of major historical events of the province.

In addition, organize grassroots sports festivals towards the provincial sports festival in 2026; host and participate in national sports competitions; implement a program to prevent child drowning and develop mass sports movements.

Deploying the summary of the Tourism Development Project for the period up to 2025; organizing a workshop on orientation for the development of Ly Son National Tourism Area and promoting community tourism and rural tourism models associated with OCOP products.

Strengthen press management, public speaking, propaganda work on seas and islands, traffic safety and key political tasks; effectively operate grassroots information systems, towards comprehensive digital transformation.

Speaking at the working session, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Y Ngoc acknowledged the efforts to stabilize the organization and maintain professional activities of the entire industry in the context of merger and said that the results of implementing the Industry's Work Program demonstrated the efforts and sense of responsibility of the collective leadership of the Department and the departments, offices and units under the Department.
