In his welcome speech, musician - People's Artist Cao Huu Nhac, Vice President of the Vietnam Musicians Association of Dak Lak province, emphasized the significance of the event on September 3, 1960, when President Ho Chi Minh conducted the orchestra, choir and the masses to sing the song "Unity" at Bach Thao Park ( Hanoi ) on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the celebration of the 3rd National Party Congress.
Since that milestone, September 3rd of each year has been chosen as Vietnam Music Day to honor the contributions of musicians and artists, while promoting the value of folk music.
The 16th Vietnam Music Day took place in the atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, with many cultural activities from urban to rural and mountainous areas.
