Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron (left), Drai H'ling village, Hoa Xuan commune, Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province, regularly helps and accompanies people in economic development.

To achieve such results, we cannot fail to mention the contributions of outstanding veterans, including Mr. Y Tuyen Kbron, who carries the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; for nearly two decades devoted to the village, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous homeland.

Born in the village, Mr. Y Tuyen Kbrong deeply understands and loves his hometown where he grew up. In 1992, after completing his military service and returning to his hometown, he actively participated in the activities of the Youth Union and Veterans Association of Hoa Xuan commune.

Since 2005, he has held many positions such as Head of the Veterans Association, Head of Drai H'ling Village and is currently Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of Drai H'ling Village. No matter what position he holds, he is always energetic, enthusiastic, dedicated to his work and is loved by the people.

Mr. Y Tuyen Kbronh said that as a veteran member, assigned by the organization to be Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell and Head of Drai H'ling village, an Ede ethnic village with a large population, relatively large area, and many religions living together, he always tries to promote his role and responsibility.

Concerned about the difficult lives of some cadres, members and people in the village, he directly encouraged people to try to escape poverty. In addition, he coordinated with departments, branches and organizations to encourage people to take care of coffee and pepper trees and plant more durian trees.

He also connected with the Green Dong Production, Trade and Service Limited Company ( Dak Nong province) so that veteran members and villagers could borrow fertilizer with deferred payment within 12 months, without interest, helping them develop the economy and improve their lives. On average, each year, he helps villagers borrow about 60-70 tons of fertilizer.

Thanks to his enthusiastic support, many families have overcome difficulties. Mr. Y To Ktul, a member of the Drai H'ling Village Veterans Association, shared that in 2019, he received support from Mr. Y Tuyen Kbrong to borrow nearly 2 tons of fertilizer with deferred payment. Thanks to that, he has the conditions to take care of coffee, and after harvesting, he can pay off the debt without worrying about interest. Since then, his family has escaped poverty, stabilized the economy, and become well-off.

“Not only members of the veterans association have access, but many other disadvantaged people have also received support from Mr. Y Tuyen with loans for fertilizers with deferred payments. This is a very good thing, helping many people develop their economy. I am very grateful to Mr. Y Tuyen,” Mr. Y To Ktul shared.

Along with supporting fertilizer loans, Mr. Y Tuyen also pioneered in mobilizing members to participate in livestock economic development models. In 2021, the Commune Veterans Association implemented a model of supporting trees and seedlings for poor and near-poor members. Mr. Y Tuyen was one of the first to participate, mobilizing people to respond, helping many households from having only 1 cow to now have a herd of 6-10 cows.

Thanks to support programs and the consensus of the people, up to now, Drai H'ling village has only 3 poor households, and the Veterans Association alone has no poor or near-poor households, and people's lives are increasingly improving. It is expected that this year, Drai H'ling village will completely eliminate poor households.

In addition to economic development, Mr. Y Tuyen also actively encourages people to maintain security and order, and build a cultural life. With the motto of "keeping the village peaceful from within each family", he regularly organizes legal propaganda, proactively grasps the situation, and promptly resolves small incidents arising at the grassroots level.

“Before each village meeting, I always remind people to obey the law and unite to build a peaceful village. Thanks to that, for many years, Drai H'ling village has not had any serious incidents, and small conflicts have been resolved peacefully,” Mr. Y Tuyen shared.

Mr. Y Tuyen himself has also made constant efforts to develop his family's economy. He currently owns 1.3 hectares of coffee intercropped with pepper and durian. Last year, thanks to high coffee prices, the output reached about 3 tons, his family had a stable income. "Before, it was difficult, but now thanks to hard work in production and mobilizing people to join hands, the village's life has changed a lot. That is what makes me feel proud and continue to try," Mr. Y Tuyen expressed.

With his prestige, sense of responsibility and exemplary behavior, Mr. Y Tuyen has become a solid support for the village. Mr. Y Hun Byă, Vice Chairman of the Veterans Association of Hoa Xuan Commune, commented that Mr. Y Tuyen Kbrong is an exemplary member, performing well the assigned tasks. He always strives to improve himself. During his association activities, he was very enthusiastic in helping members in difficulty. Up to now, in Drai H'ling village, there are no poor members.

Thanks to help with a loan for fertilizer with repayments over 12 months, Mr. Y To Ktul's family (far left) has developed their economy and improved their lives.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Long, Standing Deputy Secretary of Hoa Xuan Commune, in nearly 20 years as a village chief, Mr. Y Tuyen has a firm grasp of the area, closely followed the lives of the people, and promoted the sense of responsibility of a Party member and a soldier of Uncle Ho. He not only mobilized people to take care of economic development but also played the role of a bridge between the local government and the people, contributing to bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people in an effective and practical way.

Mr. Y Tuyen is a local ethnic minority, has a firm grasp of his ethnic traditions, and is highly trusted by everyone. All policies of the Party and State are propagated to the people through him. He is the one who keeps the fire burning, connects the local government with the people, and is a bridge for local leaders to grasp specific needs and conditions, in order to effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party and State to the people," said Mr. Tran Quang Long.

Every day, Mr. Y Tuyen continues his journey of "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate and encourage people to do business with peace of mind and stabilize their lives. With their dedication, responsibility and deep love for their homeland, veterans like Mr. Y Tuyen are contributing to creating a new face for the village, affirming the core role of the veterans' association in the work of building new rural areas and developing the local economy and society. From those silent but practical contributions, it can be seen that the spirit of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" is still being lit, continuing to spread strongly in each village and each community.
