On November 1, 2023, the Government issued Decree 76/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. This Decree takes effect from December 25, 2023.
Decree 76/2023/ND-CP clearly stipulates acts of domestic violence for each specific case; procedures for receiving and handling reports and denunciations of acts of domestic violence; units responsible for handling by competent authorities; procedures for implementing measures to prohibit people with violent acts from contacting victims; mechanisms for propaganda to prevent domestic violence...
In particular, acts of domestic violence are regulated in great detail in 4 provisions (from Article 2 to Article 5) applicable to 4 cases of family relationships that the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence has not specifically mentioned.
