The principal of Nguyen Huu Tho High School also said that the school does not charge fees for some things this school year, such as tutoring for students who have not achieved their goals, training for excellent students, increasing review hours for 12th graders, and student movement activities and fun clubs.
During the parent meeting on the morning of September 21, the 12th grade homeroom teachers also informed all parents about the content the school had implemented and instructed students on how to choose subjects for the high school graduation exam (math and literature are compulsory, students choose 2 more subjects to review and take the high school graduation exam in 2026).

A school has not collected funds from parents for the past 8 years.
Previously, according to information from parents of students at Nguyen Van Luong Secondary School (Binh Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), this school year the school principal directed not to collect parent funds. Talking to Thanh Nien reporter, Mr. Dinh Phu Cuong, Principal of Nguyen Van Luong Secondary School, said that from 2018 until now, at the beginning of the school year, the school informed all parents of students not to collect parent fees or fundraising funds.
"All expenditures are balanced by the school from its own budget and other legal sources of revenue from the school's programs, which are clearly stated in the annual internal spending regulations. If the budget and revenue sources are balanced, the school will not lack operating funds and will not have to collect from parents. Usually, after paying salaries, the budget will still have a surplus of 10% to 15% to spend on educational activities. The school uses this budget to organize educational activities for students. After spending on student educational activities, at the end of the year the school will still have a surplus to increase income for teachers and staff," Mr. Dinh Phu Cuong analyzed.
