Korean Literature Appreciation Contest

Van Lang University launched the writing contest Touch Korean Literature - Connecting Hearts, writing about famous works such as: Human Nature; Encyclopedia of Demons - Korean Demons; Today I got angry with my mother again.

The contest is organized by the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture in collaboration with the Department of Literature - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (Van Lang University), under the sponsorship of the Korean Literature Translation Institute.

Korean Touch - Connecting Hearts

Touch Korean Literature - Connecting Hearts is a writing contest that explores inner thoughts, reflections and connects cultures through literature. Contestants will choose and write their thoughts on one of three Korean literary works that have been translated into Vietnamese. These are The Nature of Humanity by Han Kang, a Korean female writer who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2024; Encyclopedia of Demons and Ghosts - Korean Demons and Ghosts by Ko Seong Bae; Today I Got Angry at Mom Again by Jang Hae Joo.

Detailed information will be regularly updated by the organizers on the official fanpage of the Faculty of Korean Language and Culture, Department of Literature - Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. Anyone who loves Korean literature can participate.

The submission period is from July 28 to September 11. The results of the contest will be announced on September 26. The award ceremony will be held within the framework of the Korean Literature Day 2025 program taking place in early October at Van Lang University.
