VN-Index increases again, liquidity drops sharply

On the first trading session of October (October 1), the market moved quite slowly, with pillar stocks increasing and decreasing alternately, VN-Index increased slightly by more than 3 points, liquidity was low.

On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, at the end of the session, the entire floor had a trading value of more than 21,000 billion VND, a sharp decrease compared to the previous session's figure of 32,000 billion VND. This session had only 2 codes with a trading value of over 1,000 billion VND: VIX (nearly 1,200 billion VND) and STB (approximately 1,100 billion VND).

Foreign investors sold quite strongly. This group bought nearly 1,858 billion VND and sold over 3,509 billion VND.

During most of the trading time, the market increased but within a narrow range. Large real estate stocks VIC and VHM decreased by 2.8% and 1.75%, taking away a total of 5.94 points.

However, the majority of green bank stocks have compensated somewhat. Of the 10 stocks that contributed the most to the VN-Index, the banking group contributed 7 stocks; of which STB contributed the most with 1.33 points, followed by TCB (1.17 points), LPB (1.07 points)...

Closing the session, VN-Index stopped at 1,665.05 points, up 3.35 points (0.2%); VN30-Index returned to 1,870.63 points after "increasing" 7.5 points (0.4%).

The entire floor recorded 175 codes going up, 139 codes going down. In the VN30 group, the number of codes going up was more than 3 times the number of codes going down (22 codes and 6 codes).

The industry groups that increased points dominated, but the increase was not strong. Essential goods trade and banking were the two groups that increased by more than 1%, the rest were below this level.

On the other hand, hardware and equipment, personal and home care products all decreased by more than 2%.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, at the close of the session, the HNX-Index increased by 0.06 points (0.02%), stopping at 273.22 points; the HNX30-Index reached 594.59 points after increasing by 2.14 points (0.36%). The entire floor had nearly 1,500 billion VND changed hands.
