Fire in Ha Dong district kills two victims

At about 5:00 p.m. on June 17, a fire broke out in Van Phu urban area (Ha Dong district).

At the above time, the Hanoi City Police Command Center received a report of an explosion causing a fire at the townhouse 08-TT35 Van Phu Urban Area, Ha Dong District.

Upon receiving the information, the City Police Command Information Center promptly mobilized the Ha Dong Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 4, and the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department to dispatch 4 fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene.

Along with that, the leaders of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, City Police mobilized 2 command vehicles and 1 truck carrying vehicles directly to the scene to direct fire fighting and rescue work.

As soon as arriving at the scene, the forces urgently deployed reconnaissance, searched for victims and deployed fire fighting teams.

By 5:00 p.m., the fire was under control; by 6:00 p.m., it was completely extinguished. The forces searched for and handed over the two deceased victims to the medical team.

Through verification at the scene, the adjacent house is 4 stories high, about 70m2/floor in area ^, reinforced concrete structure. The explosion area on the 4th floor contained combustion products in the shape of tubes, measuring 3x20cm (suspected to be fireworks for event organization).

City police have assigned units to protect the scene, investigate the cause of the explosion and fire and handle it according to the law.
