Farmers harvest the 2025 Summer-Autumn rice crop
According to data from the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the 2025 winter-spring rice crop in the province sowed nearly 263,000 hectares, and to date, has harvested more than 35,000 hectares, with an estimated rice yield of 64.46 quintals/hectare, and an output of more than 227,000 tons.
Currently, farmers in Tuyen Binh commune, Tay Ninh province are entering the 2025 winter-spring rice harvest. In this crop, due to increased input costs and low rice prices, the harvested area does not bring much profit to farmers.
According to Chairman of Tuyen Binh Commune People's Committee Tran Tan Nho, in the 2025 winter-spring rice crop, the whole commune planted nearly 9,500 hectares. Up to this point, farmers have harvested more than 500 hectares, the selling price ranges from 5,700-6,200 VND/kg, the average profit is 6-10 million VND/ha.
In Hung Dien commune, Tay Ninh province, farmers have so far harvested nearly 1,600/10,330 hectares of HT 2025 rice, with an average yield of 6 tons/hectare and a selling price ranging from 6,000-6,200 VND/kg. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Hung Dien commune, this production season, due to the sharp increase in agricultural material prices, the cost of gasoline, water pumping oil and labor costs at all stages also increased, so the investment cost is relatively high. 2 hectares of OM18 rice have just been harvested, with a yield of 6.5 tons/hectare and a selling price of 6,000/kg. After deducting costs, the profit is more than 10 million VND/hectare./.
