The peanut oil pressing facility of Mr. Phan Van Diem and Ms. Pham Thi Hong Van is located deep in an alley in Village 2, but there are quite a lot of people coming and going. Motorbikes coming in carry several bags of dry peanuts that have not been shelled, while people going out of the alley carry 20-liter plastic cans and 5 liters of clear, shiny golden peanut oil. Mr. Nguyen Van Thang, who has just unloaded 2 bags of peanuts from his motorbike to take to the pressing workshop, said: "My family has been pressing oil here for 20 years to eat. The peanuts are grown at home without much pesticide spraying, so we can eat them with confidence...". Accompanying Mr. Thang is Mr. Son, who also carries peanuts to press for oil, saying that this oil pressing facility not only presses for people in the commune, but also neighboring communes bring peanuts here to press for cooking oil. The facility only charges 8,000 VND/liter of finished product, so almost every family with land makes a few rows of peanuts to have cooking oil. In addition to having a source of pure peanut oil, many families also use the pressed peanut residue to raise pigs, chickens, ducks... This is a clean, nutritious food source, so it is also very good for livestock. For those who cannot grow peanuts, they can buy oil from the facility. The pressed oil is taken on the spot, and people can "touch" the beans before pressing and see the pressing process, so people are very assured...

Mr. Diem and his wife's oil pressing facility is about 450 square meters wide, invested in a bean shelling machine, an oil press and an oil filter worth nearly 700 million VND. Because the production and processing follows the traditional household model, it mainly works seasonally to serve the people in the area. Ms. Hong Van said: The main peanut harvest season in the area is from March to June, during these months the facility processes for the people from 1.5 - 1.8 tons/day, about 50 - 70,000 tons for the whole crop. The facility buys beans from the people to press about 40 - 50 tons, equivalent to about 20,000 liters of finished oil to sell on the market, mainly to supply the people in the area...
According to Ms. Van, the demand for pure peanut oil is very high, especially recently when there was a rumor about some fake cooking oil production facilities, so many families placed orders to send to their children and relatives far away, which increased a lot. However, the family produces within its capacity, so the supply can only meet a part of the people's needs and has not expanded to the market... Besides pressing oil, Mr. Diem and his wife also help people buy peanut seeds at a clear address, high quality peanut seeds, high oil yield, so that farmers can produce more profit. Currently, Nghi Duc commune and neighboring areas mostly use Se peanut seeds...
Mr. Phan Nhat Hung - Vice Chairman of Nghi Duc Commune People's Committee, said: The Diem - Van peanut oil business and production household has been operating traditionally for many years in the "father-to-son" style and is very trusted by the people in the commune. Besides pressing oil to help people in the area have quality products to use, the facility also creates seasonal jobs for people...
