On the afternoon of August 25, in Hanoi , VietNamNet Newspaper met with the press to inform about the National Concert program "What remains forever" 2025.
The national concert “What remains forever” is organized annually by VietNamNet Newspaper on National Day. This year’s program is meaningful as it takes place on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2. This is also the first year that VietNamNet Newspaper is under the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions .
Speaking about the National Concert “What Remains Forever”, Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Y Thong emphasized that, being held annually, the program has become an important cultural and artistic rendezvous, having a widespread influence in society. This is the first year that the Ministry of Ethnic Minorities and Religions and VietNamNet Newspaper have organized “What Remains Forever”. Previously, the program had been maintained continuously for 14 years. In particular, this year the program took place on the occasion of the entire Party and people celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the country, further highlighting the sacred value of “What Remains Forever” in the spiritual life of the people.
In the recent context of many large, meaningful art programs, concerts, and concerts that have created positive effects, journalist Nguyen Van Ba, Editor-in-Chief of VietNamNet Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the concert "What remains forever" still affirms its appeal with many different, new colors.
According to journalist Nguyen Van Ba, the Organizing Committee always aims to preserve the core values of the program "What remains forever" - a place to honor famous Vietnamese musical works, performed by passionate and responsible artists.
Continuing to take on the role of Music Director of “What remains forever”, musician Tran Manh Hung said that, right from the beginning, the program had the mission of honoring the values of Vietnamese music in the language of academic music - symphony and chamber music. Different from regular music programs, in “What remains forever”, national music, folk songs, revolutionary songs or lyrical songs are all conveyed in the language of symphonic music, creating a unique identity. This year’s program is the same, but there is something new in the works and participating artists.
The National Concert “What Remains Forever” 2025 will feature carefully selected and interspersed vocal and instrumental performances. Music Director Tran Manh Hung not only arranged all the works of “What Remains Forever” but also selected the performances with a purpose in space and time. It is a musical journey honoring the beauty of the lands that the liberation army passed through.
The audience will travel from North to South through the songs: “Song Lo”, “Towards Hanoi”, “Hanoi Song”, “Sending you a poem hat”, “Nha Trang in autumn”, “Wind blows from all directions”, “Saigon is so beautiful”, “Hue - Saigon - Hanoi”, “One lap of Vietnam”...
The program also brings melodies imbued with national colors to the audience through the works: "Dak Krong River in Spring", "Singing in the Pac Bo Forest", Cham folk songs of Pa Thei Mai, folk songs and Hue royal court music...
In particular, the program promises to explode with the heroic melody of the song "Like having Uncle Ho on the great victory day" by musician Pham Tuyen, spreading the joy of independence, freedom, peace and unity.
This is the second year that “What Remains” has featured the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) under the baton of French conductor Olivier Ochanine.
The national concert "What remains forever" 2025 has many artists participating for the first time such as singers Ha An Huy, Dinh Trang, Bach Tra, Viet Danh; cello artist Phan Do Phuc; young pianist Luong Khanh Nhi returning from the US.
Along with that, the program welcomes the return of diva Hong Nhung, divo Tung Duong and Meritorious Artist Lan Anh - familiar faces from the early years of “Dieu con mai”, but absent in recent years. The program also has Meritorious Artist Le Giang (mono-maur), Ao Linh group, Net Viet group... participating.
