(Chinhphu.vn) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1950/QD-TTg dated September 9, 2025 on perfecting the members of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on food safety.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is Head of the Central Steering Committee on Food Safety.

According to the Decision, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is the Head of the Steering Committee.

The Deputy Heads of the Committee include: Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Minister of Health (Permanent Deputy Head); Mr. Tran Duc Thang, Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment ; Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien, Minister of Industry and Trade.

Members of the Steering Committee include: Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen, Deputy Minister of Health (Standing Member); Mr. Bui The Duy, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Bui Van Khang, Deputy Minister of Finance; Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment; Mr. Truong Thanh Hoai, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade; Mr. Le Hai Binh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Ha Thi Nga, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Mr. Do Duc Hoang, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television; Mr. Pham Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of the Voice of Vietnam; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice President of the Vietnam Women's Union; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union.

This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and replaces Article 4 of Decision No. 920/QD-TTg dated August 28, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the consolidation of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on food safety, Decision No. 1420/QD-TTg dated November 18, 2024 of the Prime Minister on approving the list of members of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on food safety.

According to Decision No. 920/QD-TTg dated August 28, 2024, the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on Food Safety is responsible for researching, advising, recommending, and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to solve important, inter-sectoral issues on food safety; promptly proposing and recommending to the Prime Minister handling measures in case food safety work has complicated developments, affecting people's health on a large scale.

At the same time, assist the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies and relevant agencies and organizations in resolving important, inter-sectoral issues on food safety.
