Phung Nguyen Commune Women's Union sponsors children in especially difficult circumstances.

On the afternoon of April 15, the Women's Union of Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district visited, sponsored and presented a savings book to Hoang Duc Truong, born in 2011, in Dung Hien area, Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district.

The Women's Union and representatives of Phung Nguyen commune leaders presented a savings book worth 10 million VND to Hoang Duc Truong in Dung Hien area, Phung Nguyen commune, Lam Thao district.

Hoang Duc Truong's family is poor. Truong is currently living with his 9-year-old brother in very difficult conditions. Their mother suffered from a serious illness and passed away in January 2025, leaving the two brothers to rely on each other to continue their lives. The Women's Union of Phung Nguyen commune has sponsored and given Hoang Duc Truong a savings book worth 10 million VND.

Along with Hoang Duc Truong, since 2023, the Women's Union of Phung Nguyen commune has sponsored 4 children in difficult circumstances, orphans in the commune. Up to now, the total number of sponsored children in the commune is 5.

Sponsorship and giving out savings books are practical activities of the Women's Union of Phung Nguyen commune to promptly encourage and give more strength to children to overcome difficulties and strive to excel in their studies and life. This is also one of the specific contents of the "Godmother" Program launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union with profound humanistic meaning, contributing to easing the pain of loss, creating a solid spiritual support for orphans on their journey to adulthood.
