Chicken rice poisoning in Nha Trang: Provided a lot of data to the police, checked the restaurant's cameras

According to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hiep - Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Health , the department's professional agency has provided the investigation agency with data and information on patient samples.

"The Department will also coordinate with the Nha Trang City People's Committee in administratively handling the restaurant. After this incident, as well as in the coming months, there will be many tourism and cultural activities, and a large number of tourists will flock to the area. The Department of Health, the Provincial Food Safety and Hygiene Department as well as related units will strengthen the inspection of restaurants and collective kitchens...", Mr. Hiep informed.

According to the leaders of Nha Trang City People's Committee, the owner of Tram Anh Chicken Rice has not yet been fined. The Health Department is coordinating with Nha Trang City Police, City Health Center, Nha Trang Pasteur Institute and related units to continue checking cameras, detecting violations and suspected agents causing food poisoning. When there is a conclusion, the City People's Committee will advise the City People's Committee to issue a decision to handle according to regulations.

Recently, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province also sent a document requesting the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the two departments of Justice, Science and Technology, and the Ho Chi Minh City Laboratory Analysis Service Center to re-test water samples.

Previously, Nha Trang Pasteur Institute tested tap water samples taken from the tap in the processing area at Tram Anh chicken rice restaurant, and the results showed Escherichia coli and Coliform bacteria.

Well water samples collected from water tanks used for washing utensils contained Escherichia coli, Coliform bacteria and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

In addition, the test results of food samples taken at the restaurant during lunch on March 11 and 12 detected Salmonella, Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus bacteria in chicken dishes, egg sauce, pickles...

Through the above test results, the police investigation agency requested an appraisal to collect documents to serve the investigation.

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , the poisoning incident forced 368 people to go to medical facilities for examination and treatment, and Tram Anh chicken rice restaurant was suspended to serve the investigation.
