Illegal sand mining discovered in Dak Lak

On September 22, Waterway Police Team No. 1, under the Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that it was coordinating with Krong Bong Commune Police (Dak Lak Province) to handle the case of illegal sand mining.

Previously, at around 8:10 a.m. on September 15, Waterway Police Team No. 1 followed and caught Pham Van H. (born in 1986, residing in Hamlet 8, Krong Bong Commune) in the act of sand mining at a gathering place near a stream in Hamlet 8.

At the time of inspection, H. could not present any documents, invoices, or receipts related to sand mining. H. confessed that the sand storage site belonged to Le Tri C. (born in 1979, residing in the same village 8). H. was led by C. to the storage site to scoop and transport sand to sell to households.

During the investigation, C. confessed that he did not have a license to exploit minerals. He used a homemade iron-hulled boat with an engine to suck sand, bring it to the area of ​​village 8 and then sell it to the people.

Currently, Waterway Police Team No. 1 has transferred the case file and many related exhibits to Krong Bong Commune Police for handling according to authority.
