Thai Nguyen continues to increase the rate of mobilizing children to attend class.

Before the new school year begins, preschools closely coordinate with the Commune Education Universalization Steering Committee, departments, branches, organizations and hamlets, villages and hamlets in the area to conduct surveys and update data on preschool-age children.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Thai Nguyen province, before the merger, all communes in Thai Nguyen province (old) met the standards for universal preschool education for 5-year-old children, the rate of 6-year-old children entering grade 1 was over 98%, meeting the standards in the National Criteria for New Rural Areas for the period 2021-2025. However, Bac Kan province still has many communes that have not met these targets.

In Action Program No. 55-CTr/TU dated March 13, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee, the province set a goal to strive by 2030 to mobilize 97.5% or more of children from 3 to 5 years old to attend kindergarten; firmly maintain universal preschool education for 5-year-old children; continue to maintain the mobilization of 99.9% of 6-year-old children to attend grade 1.

Universalizing preschool education for children from 3 to 5 years old not only increases the rate of children attending class, but also creates an optimal and comprehensive development environment for children, helping them have a solid foundation for learning at higher levels.
