Hanoi officials and teachers trained in AI application skills

GD&TĐ - For the first time, a large-scale training program on AI application for managers and teachers in Hanoi was organized.

On September 25, the Hanoi School for Training of Education Officials held a conference to deploy training for managers, teachers, and staff of preschool, general education, and continuing education institutions for the 2025-2026 school year.

Attending the opening ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Huu Do, former Deputy Minister of Education and Training ; Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Department of Education and Training; 268 Principals and Vice Principals of preschool and general education institutions in Hanoi.

The highlight of the training session is a set of documents including 15 topics on the application of artificial intelligence in management and teaching approved by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training under Decision No. 896/QD-SGDĐT dated May 8, 2025.

The Chief Editor of the document is Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thanh, Principal of the Hanoi School for Training of Education Officials, former Director of the Department of Secondary Education (Ministry of Education and Training), a person with in-depth expertise and practical experience in directing and organizing the implementation of the General Education Program. The team of editors and authors includes many leading experts in the field of education and training, education managers, lecturers, researchers from pedagogical universities and research institutes.

The document set focuses on applying AI in: building school education plans; supporting the organization of teaching subjects; supporting the organization of experiential and career guidance activities; supporting the preparation of experimental equipment in teaching; supporting the organization of high school graduation exam review...

Each topic lasts 40 periods. In which, students self-study and do practice exercises on LMS (32 periods); present products, discuss directly with the reporter (8 periods).

The training method is designed to combine online and offline. In the online part, students self-study via the LMS system (http://boiduonghanoi.edu.vn), watch teaching videos, take quizzes, submit practical products and discuss with the reporter. The offline part focuses on practice, product presentation, group discussion, especially in STEM content, using experimental equipment and applying AI in teaching.

It is expected that the training period will last from 1 to 10 sessions depending on the topic, starting from October 2025. Upon completion, trainees will be granted a Certificate of completion of regular training according to regulations.

The training session is an important preparatory step to improve the management, professional and technical capacity of the staff, teachers and employees, meeting the requirements of implementing the 2018 General Education Program and enhancing digital transformation and AI application in education.
