Create seamless synchronous connections

Identifying the important role of the transport system to be one step ahead to promote socio -economic development, in recent years, Yen Mo district has paid special attention to investing in completing the transport infrastructure in a synchronous and modern direction, not only increasing the connection between districts and cities but also forming regional links and between concentrated raw material areas, suitable for the urbanization process, creating a great momentum for the district, creating a driving force to attract investment, contributing to effectively implementing the breakthrough to strongly improve the investment and business environment.

The road traffic network has been formed along the vertical and horizontal axes, connecting the districts in the province and the provinces in the region. In the district, there are many important traffic routes such as: National Highway 1A North-South, Cau Gie- Ninh Binh Expressway, National Highway 12B, National Highway 21B extension, Provincial Road 480B, Provincial Road 480C, Provincial Road 477 running through many communes.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hien, Head of the Finance and Planning Department of Yen Mo district, said: With the motto "public investment leads private investment", in recent years, Yen Mo district has focused public investment resources to implement key projects and works that are important for the long-term development orientation of the locality. In the period of 2021-2025 alone, the medium-term investment capital in the district is 1,223 billion VND. In which, the district prioritizes investment in infrastructure serving the construction of advanced new-style rural districts such as traffic infrastructure, irrigation, new construction, renovation of schools and classrooms. Some key projects have been completed in the period such as: Yen Mo district's central cultural house; sports stadium combined with green park; road connecting Yen Thinh town with Yen Phong commune; new construction of Khanh Thinh commune kindergarten. The projects, when put into use, have been effective and are the driving force for the district's socio-economic development. In addition, Yen Mo district also allocates capital to match the province's works and projects, especially in the fields of transportation and irrigation. These are highly connected projects, which, when completed, will promote the district's socio-economic development. Some key projects include: Construction of Yen Thinh town belt road; construction of Mai Son Khanh Thuong inter-commune road...

At the same time, implementing the motto of the State supporting cement, the People contributing labor and materials, the movement to upgrade rural roads has been unanimously implemented by the People of the communes. Up to now, 100% of communes have asphalted and concreted roads to the commune center according to regulations; 100% of villages and hamlets have concrete alleys and lanes; the main intra-field roads have been basically hardened to ensure convenient motor vehicle travel, meeting production and people's living requirements; installing over 320 km of electric lighting lines, planting over 295 km of flower paths and trees along the roads and in residential areas.

There will be new routes

Yen Mo is a district located at the end of the Red River Delta; with a relatively favorable geographical location, it is a premise for Yen Mo district to exchange economy and culture with neighboring regions, promote land potential and other local resources. Therefore, the Ninh Binh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, has determined that Yen Mo is an area for developing eco-tourism services and high-tech agriculture; is the traffic hub of the province... On the other hand, to promote the potential and strengths in tourism development, the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 has determined "Developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector, for Yen Mo effectively exploiting the tourism potential of the southern area of the district, especially Dong Thai Lake to contribute to making Ninh Binh become a tourist center of the Red River Delta and the whole country"... To meet the above requirements, Yen Mo determined the need to develop transport infrastructure, create momentum for regional linkage development and contribute to the goal of developing Ninh Binh tourism into a tourist center of the whole country, increasing the ability to directly export agricultural products.

During the implementation of the Planning at all levels, in Yen Mo district, many projects have been deployed with synchronous basic investment, in accordance with the district planning to ensure the progress of building advanced new rural areas and meet the socio-economic development requirements of the district.

To increase connectivity, the Yen Mo District Construction Plan and the Provincial Plan have also clearly oriented: Construction of a high-speed railway to serve the socio-economic development goals of the district; East-West Highway running through the communes of Yen Dong, Yen Thai, Yen Mac, Yen Lam... When completed, the above routes will create favorable conditions to attract domestic and international tourists, while connecting traffic with provinces, cities, tourist areas, heritages at home and abroad, combining economic development with national defense and security.

In the immediate future, Yen Mo district is actively implementing the site clearance for the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project, the section passing through Yen Mo district, with a length of 11.42 km, starting at Mai Son intersection (Mai Son commune, Yen Mo district), ending at Vac river overpass (Yen Tu commune, Yen Mo district). This is an extremely important route to create traffic connections for the entire northern region of the district with the North-South Expressway, National Highway 1, the East-West traffic axis of Ninh Binh, thereby expanding the socio-economic development potential of the locality, ensuring regional and inter-regional connectivity, meeting the transportation and trade needs between localities, provinces and the whole country.

Believing that, with the flexible use of investment resources to develop transport infrastructure, connecting areas within the province and inter-provincial, in the coming time, transport will continue to play the role of "leading the way", creating leverage for socio-economic development in Yen Mo district in particular and Ninh Binh province in general.
