The People's Committee of Ba Ria-Vung Tau province urgently directed

The People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has just sent an urgent document to the Department of Home Affairs, Department of Education and Training, Department of Health, People's Committee of Chau Duc district and districts, towns and cities in the area requesting urgent clarification, strict handling and resolution of violations occurring at Anh Duong Kindergarten (Chau Duc district).

According to the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, after receiving information from the press about the food rations of teachers at Anh Duong Kindergarten, which were accused of being cut and not ensuring quality, on September 18, the province sent an official dispatch requesting Chau Duc district to verify, clarify, and report before September 19, but to date there has been no report on the handling results.

Chairman of Chau Duc District People's Committee had a dialogue with the teachers of Anh Duong Kindergarten accusing the principal of cutting food portions and many other issues.

In order to continue implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, which requires clarifying, strictly and decisively handling violations occurring at Nguyen Du High School and Anh Duong Kindergarten, Chau Duc district.

The Provincial People's Committee requested Chau Duc district to urgently verify and clarify the content of the above incident, and strictly handle violations (if any) in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring a decisive handling stance, without avoidance, cover-up or coping; report to the Provincial People's Committee on the handling results no later than October 14.

The document also requires departments, branches and localities to be responsible for implementing the province's direction, paying attention to comprehensively rectifying the entire education sector in the province regarding the implementation of boarding work in schools, ensuring food safety and hygiene and the quality of boarding meals for students and teachers, especially in primary and preschool levels.

Previously, at the 22nd Conference of the Executive Committee of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee Pham Viet Thanh directed the locality to quickly clarify violations and handle them strictly. It is impossible to wait because the principal went to the hospital. "We must ensure that the policies of the province for nurseries, kindergartens, and students reach the beneficiaries. We cannot be irresponsible and bend the province's policies because of personal relationships" - Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee frankly said.

One of the meals that the school teachers ate, in addition to this, there was also a portion of vegetable soup left out.

According to Mr. Pham Viet Thanh, the policy of the province has been issued to balance, reduce savings, and spend the budget to focus on education, the purpose is for the people to enjoy, so it cannot be irresponsible, indifferent, or lax. Therefore, the Secretary of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee suggested that it must be corrected, and if necessary, it must be criticized.

Previously, there was information that after being accused by teachers of Anh Duong Kindergarten, the school principal had to be treated due to illness, which made the inspection work difficult.

As reported by the Lao Dong Newspaper, teachers and staff of Anh Duong Kindergarten in Chau Duc District complained that a 30,000 VND lunch tray only had rice and 2 pieces of ham, with a little fish sauce. Some other trays had rice and a few pieces of stir-fried bamboo shoots. This incident is not just recent but has been going on for many months.

The Chairman of the Chau Duc District People's Committee has requested an investigation into the incident reported in the newspaper. Afterwards, teachers and staff were unexpectedly refunded their meal money, after deducting the meals for the first week.

Chau Duc district also had a dialogue with teachers and staff at the school, many opinions expressed their indignation towards the school principal; the meals could not be worse and the irregularities in the revenue and expenditure issues. Many teachers burst into tears when mentioning the meals that only had rice and a few pieces of fish cakes, pork rolls... no one dared to stand up to denounce for fear of being persecuted, fear of affecting their work.

After the dialogue, Chau Duc District People's Committee decided to conduct a comprehensive inspection of Anh Duong Kindergarten. During the inspection, if any signs of violations are discovered, the inspection team will temporarily suspend the principal's work according to regulations.
