This morning (September 27), Mr. Dang Van Duong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Kim Ngan Commune ( Quang Tri ), said that the locality had organized a meeting with relevant parties to clarify the case of dozens of students suspected of being poisoned after breakfast at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School.
According to initial information, the type of banh tay the students ate was under a meal contract, provided by a woman outside the commune. The police are investigating the source, while the health sector has taken food samples for testing.
The students are being treated and their health condition has stabilized.

Of the 75 students who ate banh tay for breakfast at Kim Thuy Primary Boarding School on the morning of September 26, 40 students have been hospitalized, while the remaining 35 are being monitored locally. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.

Immediately after that, the school coordinated with the authorities and parents to mobilize vehicles to transport 25 students to Le Thuy General Hospital for examination and treatment. To date, a total of 40 students have been transferred to the hospital for examination and treatment.
